EFL Championship

The EFL (English Football League) Championship is the very highest of the English Football League and the second-highest overall in the English system, coming after the Premier League.

The EFL Championship takes place each year, after which the top teams are promoted to the Premier League and the bottom teams relegated to League One, the league which comes immediately below the Championship.

Because of how popular it is, the EFL Championship attracts millions of punters each year and EFL Championship betting is a massive market. Although it does not come quite so close to the size of the Premier League, it is still a huge market where there is the opportunity to make some serious winnings if you bet properly and have all the requisite knowledge.

The EFL Championship goes back many, many years and is well over 100 years old. Although it is a bit dated as a league, the betting practices, as with most of football, have largely remained the same and when you decide to participate in EFL Championship betting, there are a lot of different tips and practices which can make all the difference and turn you from a haphazard punter into a force to be reckoned with and give you much better chances of winning some real money.

Generally speaking, these tips apply to football betting in general but, because the EFL Championship is such a serious competition which can be very complex, they apply here more than anywhere else. No matter what the football league is or where the game is being played, you should keep the following points in mind and refer back to them whenever you are about to place a bet :

  1. Specialise in a small number of markets to maximise your odds; don’t be a generalist as this only reduces your chances of winning.

  2. Use multiple different bookies and betting sites. Different sites have different odds and different welcome offers you can take advantage of.

  3. Keep a record of all your bets so you can refer back and see where you have been going wrong and learn from it.

  4. Bet only when there is a real value to it; a 50/1 bet may look great on paper but are you really likely to win? It’s 50/1 for a reason.

When it comes to the EFL Championship, exercising a bit of caution and taking your time to really learn and understand the competition can massively pay off. The EFL Championship and EFL Championship betting isn’t easy to learn and it can be a huge learning curve, even if you are a seasoned non-football better or a football fan who has never placed a bet before.

The only way to learn is to actually participate in EFL Championship betting and you should not feel put-off just because you are new to the scene; if you study and do your research there is no reason why you soon cannot be earning some very good money through well-informed and researched bets.
